This is a very important moment in the RadioDNS Project, as it begins the process of establishing the project as a legal entity, with statutes and an elected steering board to determine strategic direction. If you want to be involved with shaping the future of RadioDNS, this is a meeting you should be at.

As a reminder, the deadline for nominations for the Statutes Drafting Team is tomorrow – 1st November 2009 at 23:59:59 GMT. You can nominate yourself by sending an e-mail to the feedback@radiodns.org address.

Shortly after nominations have closed, we will publish the nominees and explain how voting will be carried out at the General Meeting.

Of particular note is:

The project intends to ask its participants for two things in the
following weeks:

• Permission to publicise your interest in RadioDNS – until now, we haven’t actively publicised the membership of the project, allowing people to experiment and trial. It would help the project enormously to be able promote the people who are supporting it, but will of course ask for permission first to name you or your organisation.

• Assemble a project steering team, who will put together formal rules for how RadioDNS will be run and how we should provide the basis of a permanent service. We’ll be asking for people to nominate themselvesor others in the next couple of weeks, with a view to putting a team together by August.
