Saturday, June 20th, 2009

The RDS Forum, who oversee the worldwide deployment of RDS and RBDS technologies, recently held their annual meeting at Glion, Switzerland.

NickPiggott of Global Radio presented the RadioDNS concept to the forum (download the PDF of the presentation – RadioDNS and Apps – RDS Forum – June 2009), and took questions from the delegates representing broadcasters and device manufacturers from Europe and North America.

The RadioDNS Project was warmly welcomed as a valuable extension of the RDS/RBDS standards, and members were encouraged to become involved with the project.

RadioDNS in Australia

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

RadioDNS was part of a presentation given by James Cridland (BBC) and Nick Piggott (Global Radio) to the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) Local Radi0 Conference in Canberra.

James and Nick also met representatives of the Australian radio industry, both public service and commercial broadcasters, to explain the RadioDNS project. Feedback was extremely positive, and it looks likely that there will be Australian representation in the project shortly.
