We’re back from a really busy and successful IBC 2012, with lots of press coverage for RadioDNS and plenty of visitors to the stand.
There was lots of excited talk about the BBC and ARD implementing RadioVIS widely, and keen interest from broadcasters across the world. Our demo included some stations from NPO, the Dutch public service broadcaster, and the directors seemed very happy with the result!

It’s been really encouraging to see how broadcasters, manufacturers and service providers are all engaging with RadioDNS, and understanding how our open technology can benefit and future-proof radio. It’s a busy time for the project and we couldn’t be more pleased with how we’re growing.
The next event is the NAB Radio Show in Dallas, where we’ll be exhibiting in booth 921, and demonstrating RadioVIS, RadioEPG and RadioTAG with support from our members Clear Channel and Cox Media. Nick will also be participating in a panel session on Thursday, September 20 from 1:30-2:45 p.m. discussing the topic of hybrid radio. This session will focus on how Internet-connected radio devices, stationary and mobile, can make use of the Internet to greatly enhance the listener’s media experience and make radio more competitive with today’s Internet-only digital audio platforms.

We’ll be showing devices supporting RadioDNS applications and broadcasters using the EBU Technical Lab’s RadioDNS Manager Service there every day – do let us know if you’d like to come and visit us. Our technology will also be on display at the BBC’s stand, showing what services the UK’s public service broadcaster is providing and working on.
