Pluxbox – the new radio experience

Caroline Brindle 24th June 2014

Pluxbox is one of our newest members, and we’re delighted to have such an innovative company on board. We’ll be demonstrating RadioDNS services and devices with Pluxbox, at this year’s IBC. See below for a Pluxbox press release on RadioDNS.

The NEW radio experience is here NOW – integrating web, stream, social media and video!

Already recognised as a leading innovator in radio, Pluxbox has also become a major player in RadioDNS with new technologies for combining robust, scalable internet technology with radio broadcast in FM, DAB, HD, etc. Pluxbox’s innovations in production, visualisation, distribution and archiving continually push the boundaries of the radio world to deliver a truly multi-media radio experience.

Amongst these innovations is the pbRadiomanager which enables programme makers and presenters to create visible slideshows for digital radio through DAB+ and RadioVIS. Controllable at the push of a button, these are effectively apps – for weather, amber alerts, traffic information, etc – made with HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. With the ability to contain dynamic data and be automatically generated in real time, they allow the presenter to develop a rich interactive relationship with the listeners.

Pluxbox will be demonstrating its products at this year’s IBC in Amsterdam – a great opportunity to find out why Pluxbox is the new name everyone’s talking about in the world of RadioDNS.
