RadioDNS – Wir begrüßen Sie in Berlin

RadioDNS Seminar – We welcome you in Berlin, March 17, 2013

RadioDNS is open for everyone technology that can interact radio and Internet optimally to improve the user experience and thereby make radio better.

The RadioDNS project is a non-profit organization that develops and supports the global standards for hybrid radio. We have 27 members, 65 supporters and over 1,900 radio stations using our RadioDNS technology. It’s only been two years since our inception as an organization, but there is growing interest in our project and growing.

With the support of the German project office digital radio, we would like to invite you to an informal meeting where you get to know the people behind the project and learn more about the advantages more, enabling RadioDNS both broadcasters and listeners. This includes in particular a better listener loyalty and unique ways of refinancing.

Speakers

Nick Piggott, Head of “Creative Technologies” at Global Radio (UK) and Chairman of the RadioDNS project
1999 Nick built on a small multi-expert team to launch the world’s first private digital radio program. Under his leadership this team has offered consistently innovative new additional offers for radio producers – among other things, interactive text messaging services, music downloads, mobile and multi-platform applications and image services.

Nick can look back on a long career in the private radio industry – first in the program area and since the late 90s in digital radio.

Nick is one of the founders of RadioDNS, an open technology project, which brings together radio and the Internet, and the strengths of radio (many people reach) with the strengths of the Internet (personalized as well as “premium” to transfer content) together.

In the compound both as a passionate advocate of radio as well as a highly respected speaker at conferences Nick travels around the world to talk about the possibilities of radio in the digital age.

Michael Reichert, Head of ARD Project Office Digital Radio

Michael has long been an active supporter of Digital Radio.
Until 2007 he worked as a senior editor for digital radio program SWRinfo, where he was also responsible for the area of program innovation.

Since 2008 he works as a manager of strategic and technical border working groups (eg radio PLUS study, radio of the future, etc.) in the SWR.
since 2011 he is also director of the Project Office digital radio, which in
in 2011, both from public as part of the digital radio start
also was established CSBs. Michael represents the
interests of the ARD radio broadcasting in the EBU, the IMDA and RadioDNS.

Tobias Wallerius, Global Hardware Architect, Visteon

Tobias studied communication engineering and graduated in 2005 with a thesis on Digital Radio Mondiale receiver concepts from. Its on anabolic computer science degree, he took a master’s thesis on Internet radio reception improvements in the automobile to a successful conclusion.

Since 2006 Tobias works at Visteon, the operating worldwide Tier-1 supplier to the automotive sector. First, as a system and later as a hardware engineer for Digital Radio products he worked with in addition to the standardization and promotion of digital radio in different (automotive) consortia and working groups. Currently, Tobias is responsible for Visteon for the advanced development and product development of digital radio receivers (DAB / DRM / hybrid radio / Internet radio).

Tobias is a passionate advocate of new radio technologies and is committed to their rapid deployment and testing in the automobile.

Laurent Finet, Director of “Digital Strategy for Radio” at RTBF (Belgium)

Laurent is head of digital radio strategies at RTBF, the French-language public broadcaster in Belgium, as well as assistant to the director of radio RTBF.

As a longtime fan of RadioDNS Laurent drives the internal development of image services, interactive services and RadioDNS offers for RTBF. Laurent is 200% convinced that “hybridity” THE future of radio is, and that RadioDNS the easiest way is to get into that future.

Laurent makes personal, promotional efforts for Digital Radio in the commercial broadcasters in Belgium and believes firmly and the strength of metadata associated with the magic of sound (“the magic-of-sound”).
