We had a brand new and bigger presence at the 2023 NAB Show in Las Vegas, thanks to our member organisation, the NAB. There was energy and enthusiasm in the halls, and we spoke with many people who wanted to know about hybrid radio, wanted to dive deep into the details, or just wanted to look at our demos of hybrid radio in action. It was a great opportunity to meet with our North American based members, and show them our latest demos of hybrid radio, and how their radio stations look in the connected car.
Nick presented as part of a panel on a session about the importance of Hybrid Radio and Metadata at the Broadcast Engineering and IT Conference, in a session that was surprisingly well attended for a Sunday morning. There were lots of questions about how listeners use radio in the car, the threats to that use, and how hybrid radio can offer a more attractive presentation of broadcast radio.
We also held our Steering Board meeting during the show, as a hybrid on-line/in-person event, which allowed board members to meet each other in person, and for some of our members to join us for a very animated discussion about innovation around hybrid radio.
We’re continuing our North American presence, focusing on the automotive industry, at the Autotech Detroit event from 6th-8th June.
