We’re improving radio metadata for all connected devices
Welcome to the latest update from RadioDNS. We’ve been working on a project to allow radio station metadata to be used by all connected devices, read on to find out more.
Plus we will be at Radiodays Asia, IBC and AutoTech: Europe
Hello,
Earlier this year our members voted to make it easier for radio station metadata to be found and used by connected devices as well as hybrid radio devices. This makes it even easier for radio stations to be accurately represented on a larger number of radio devices, using just one standard format.
It makes an investment in supporting the RadioDNS standards even more valuable.
We’re working on three parts of this project at the moment:
- Contacting all the broadcasters who currently use RadioDNS, and asking if they want to make their metadata available to a wider range of connected devices
- Contacting the manufacturers and service providers of connected radio devices to see if they’d like to get metadata directly and accurately from radio stations
- Technical work to support this new initiative
We’re hoping to launch the first version of the project in the next few months. If you’ve got any questions about what it means to you, just contact us in the project office.
Meet with us
