iHeartRadio’s Jamie Sampson joins the RadioDNS Steering Board

Rosie Kendrick 21st February 2024

RadioDNS is the membership organization which sets standards for hybrid radio and the exchange of metadata and content between broadcasters and hybrid radio devices. The not-for-profit organization is jointly owned by its members, and overseen by a Steering Board elected by the members.

iHeartMedia was one of the founding members of RadioDNS, and has affirmed its commitment to the organization, and its continued presence on the RadioDNS Steering Board, with the appointment of Jamie Sampson VP, Digital Distribution & Platform Partnerships.

Nick Piggott, Project Director said,

“Jamie’s appointment to our Steering Board affirms our commitment that RadioDNS should represent all the stakeholders in hybrid radio, globally. We value the input and experiences of broadcasters, manufacturers and service providers through our membership and the Steering Board. As one of North America’s leading broadcasters, Jamie brings a wealth of experience and thought to our strategic direction.”

Jamie Sampson added,

“The growth of Hybrid Radio in cars presents a great opportunity for broadcasters, such as iHeartRadio, to flourish in the connected car. I’m excited to work with the RadioDNS board members and member organisations to build a path forward that ensures radio continues to be the number one source for music, news, and talk for drivers and passengers.”

RadioDNS is a not-for-profit membership organisation. The support of our members helps develop hybrid radio as an open technology that anyone can use for free. Our members bring their experience and ambitions to creating the direction and strategy for the organisation, and developing new functionality for hybrid radio that the entire community can benefit from. It’s a collaborative effort between broadcasters, manufacturers and service providers.
