Metadata about radio stations and programmes powers modern radio user interfaces.
Service and Programme Information enables radio stations to be listed with full names, colour logos and format descriptions, as well as creating ‘universal presets’ that will find a radio station across broadcast or IP streaming, wherever the world a listener happens to be.
Service following allows RadioDNS Hybrid Radio compliant devices to automatically switch between broadcast and internet audio streams to maintain the best quality reception, and keep listeners listening longer.
If you want to provide more dynamic metadata (describing what’s on-air now), look at our Visuals and Dynamic Metadata feature
You can read more technical details on how we transport metadata in our Service and Programme Information standard in Technical Documentation.
